The last and possibly most extraordinary celebrity sale of the millennium will take place at Christie’s Rockefeller Center on October 27 and 28 when the personal property of Marilyn Monroe will be offered at auction. The two-day sale of approximately 1,000 lots will feature Marilyn’s extensive wardrobe, including her evening gowns, costumes, furs and Pucci dresses. The sale also features her costume jewelry, accessories and film costumes, as well as her personal drawings, library of more than 400 books, letters, furniture and decorative arts, from both her Los Angeles and New York homes.
