Coffee and Tea Ceremonies

"She's Waiting For My Breakfast Order",
18" x 24"
My dear waitress, Lorraine, waiting for me to order the same thing I do every Saturday morning after presenting me with a beautiful diner tea set-up.

“Sunday Morning Tea”, 18” x 24”
There is nothing more comforting than a great cup of tea and the time to complete a crossword puzzle.

“Tea With My Scottish Grandmother”,
18” x 24”
My Mother talked about having tea with her grandmother. They were not rich but her grandmother always paid the extra pennies to have sugar cubes and used her best china.

"Chili Vista Alegre", 30" x 18"
My friend lent me a set of these wonderful Portuguese cups because he thought they would be fun to paint. I woke up one morning and remembered that I had a scrap of matching fabric stashed away.

“Intimate Conversation”, 18” x 30”
Tea for two and lots of time for sharing the latest in our lives.

“Good Fortune”, 18” x 24”
The lucky cat is always wishing us prosperity and good health.

“Father Brown's Afternoon Tea”, 18” x 24”
I love tea and I love British murder mysteries. This is an homage to the “Father Brown” TV program where many of the mysteries are solved while sitting around the table for afternoon tea or during a lively game of chess. It has elements from Mrs. McCarthy’s “good” tea set and famous strawberry scones and Lady Felicia’s fox stole. (sold)

“Coffee Service”, 15” x 20”
My mother saved green stamps and purchased a new place setting of this Lenox china every year for ten years. It was a special ritual to take them down from the china cabinet on holidays.
